Encountering issues with Slime Rancher 2 on your Xbox for PC? Don't worry; we've compiled a list of steps that can help you solve common problems such as game not launching or issues with saving your game.
Important: As of the 1.0 release it appears that suspending the game can result in failure to continue saving. Until we are able to address this we urge players to avoid suspending.
Step 1: Relog into the Xbox App\Power Cycle your Console
Sometimes, simply logging out and then back into the Xbox app can resolve synchronization and permission issues that might be affecting the game. In on console you can simply power off your system and then unplug it for a few minutes. Give this a quick try to see if it helps.
Step 2: Try another Xbox Account
If you can try using a different Xbox account, and then once you reach the start menu, switching back to the original, that can sometimes solve this.
Step 3: Update Windows\Your Xbox OS
Keeping your system up-to-date is important for the smooth running of all applications, including Slime Rancher. For Windows go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update to check for and install any available updates.
On your console you can press the Xbox button, Select Profile & system > Settings > System Update. If you see Console update available, select that and begin.
Step 4: Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
If you're having issues with updates, the Windows Update Troubleshooter can help fix underlying problems with your operating system. You can find this tool in the Update & Security section of your system settings.
Step 5: Reinstall Slime Rancher
As a last resort, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Slime Rancher. After updating Windows\Xbox's OS and restarting your system, this step can often clear up any lingering issues.
