Hey there, Slime Ranchers! We know how much you love playing Slime Rancher 2, but we are also aware that some of you managing motion sickness may experience it while playing for an extended period. Don't worry, though; we've got your back!
Slime Rancher 2 has some nifty settings that you can tweak. Here are some options to try:
Adjust your in-game settings.
Display:
- Framerate Limit: Increasing the frame rate limit can provide a smoother experience.
- Field of View (FOV): In most cases increasing the FOV can give you a wider view of the game world, however our FOV starts off on the higher end. It’s still worth trying, but be open to lowering as well to see if that helps.
Graphics:
- Master Graphics Quality: Lowering the graphics quality can help, especially if your computer struggles to keep up with the game's high-quality graphics.
- Depth of Field Quality: Adjusting this setting can help blur areas that are out of focus. Experiment with different options to find what works best for you.
- Bloom: Lowering the intensity of glowing objects can help reduce eye strain.
Input
- Mouse Look Sensitivity: Turning down your sensitivity can help with having a smoother experience.
Gameplay:
- Camera Bob: Try disabling the camera bob in the gameplay menu.
Other General Tips:
Take frequent breaks.
We know it can be tough to tear away from the adorable slimes, but taking breaks every 20-30 minutes can help. Look away from the screen, stretch your legs, and take a few deep breaths.
Stay hydrated.
Keep a glass or bottle of water nearby while you play.
Adjust your seating position.
Try sitting up straight or moving further away from the screen.
Fuel up before playing.
Grab a light snack before you start playing.
